Comparing bookmakers

The same market, the same time and the same conditions: the foundations of a meaningful comparison.

Betanthropic Information only · 18+

Establish a like-for-like basis

Comparing means selecting equivalent items. Use the same event, period and line. Odds on a winner including possible overtime cannot be compared directly with odds on the result in regulation time only.

Record the time of comparison

Odds change. Record when you observed a price and do not present historical odds as still available. The manual comparison tool processes your inputs: it does not contact bookmakers or establish that they would accept a particular stake.

Look beyond the number

The highest numerical odds do not resolve every difference. Commission, exchange liquidity, acceptance limits and voiding rules can affect a comparison. Do not assume one account’s terms apply to every customer.

Avoid misleading comparisons

A more favourable line may have lower odds: those are not two prices for the same product. Do not compare a promotional price subject to requirements with an ordinary price without explaining the differences.

Use a repeatable record

Record the domain, market, odds, time and source. Separating observed information from commentary makes later error checking easier. Operator order on Betanthropic is editorial, not a statistical result.

About the examples

Numerical examples are illustrative calculations. The terms of the individual service take precedence over general descriptions.
