What the register does

The Malta Gaming Authority provides a register of licensed entities. The portal allows checks on information including the holder and authorisation status, and also provides URL-verification tools.

Look beyond the logo

A licence-related image is not enough. Open the regulator’s register, verify the entity and check that the domain is consistent. Distinguish the trading name from the contracting entity and any company processing payments.

Territory and availability

Do not treat an MGA licence as automatic proof of permission to operate in every country. Local checks remain separate. This website does not certify that all 21 operators hold an MGA licence that is valid or applicable to the visitor.

Complaints and sources

For a dispute, follow the operator’s stated procedure and check whether the regulator has jurisdiction over the particular case. Keep terms, receipts and communications without publicly sharing sensitive personal information.
