Which market are you reading?
Snooker uses frames as the unit of match scoring. Match-winner markets require understanding the match format; more specific markets may cover only one frame or an individual statistic.
Distinctions to check
Frame handicaps notionally modify the match result. Highest-break and century-count selections follow different criteria. Do not compare prices for markets using different units.
An example to explain the concept
In a hypothetical best-of-nineteen-frame match, the first player to win ten frames wins. A 10–8 result does not cover a −2.5-frame handicap.
Terms and settlement
Suspended and resumed sessions are not automatically new matches; check the applicable rules. The bookmaker’s rules specify how an official result applies to the market. Later result corrections may be subject to time limits: do not infer settlement solely from a result published elsewhere.
Compare like with like
Keep the event, period of play, selection and line identical. Record the observation time as well: prices viewed at different times are not a simultaneous comparison. Higher odds do not automatically compensate for different rules or conditions.
From the guide to the sources
For schedules and formats, consult the official source for the sport or event. For settlement, read the rules of the particular market. The examples on this page are hypothetical, not live results.
